MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THE INSTITUTE

To train personnel in Inspection Technology as per the requirements of the trade and industry.
To provide training and research facility to trainers and technologists in the Inspection and allied industry with a view to upgrade their skills.
To train Inspection Engineers.
To train personnel in maintenance of Inspection equipment’s.
To design and develop specification for the Inspection Industry.
To introduce modern technology in Inspection procedures.
To assist and promote technology upgradation in Inspection Industry.
To develop products and design with a view to secure advantages in Inspection.
To undertake testing and assessment of Inspection and its materials.
To promote acquisition of international standards in the industry.
To foster appropriate linkages between Central Inspection Training Institute and Industry for utilization of existing capacity and their upgradation and to undertake consultancy services for development of Inspection Industry.
To establish linkages with educational, research and development institutions in India and abroad, and to collaborate with them in training, research and development.
To organize data bases and information dissemination on Inspection Technology, Welding, Painting ,NDT etc., and to establish suitable Library and Resource Centre for trainees and industry.
